The first e-Niagara Conference and Web Awards was held March 5, at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel, Thorold.  The conference offered 160 delegates the opportunity to learn more about Niagara's information technology sector and potential for business.  Participants saw the latest trends and sector issues, celebrated local innovation and networked with others committed to IT in the Niagara region.

The morning began with a keynote presentation by Canadian Internet Authority Jim Carroll.  Delegates then participated in six dynamic workshops, followed by a luncheon and the first ever e-Niagara Web Awards.  Workshops provided first hand experiences from twenty local private and public sector presenters.

The highlight of the conference was the presentation of ten web awards to acknowledge the efforts of those businesses that are pushing the boundaries of their online presence.  For a detailed summary of the nominees and award winners, visit www.eniagaraconference.com
