Angelo DelGrosso was a graduate in electronics of Loyalist College in 1972.  After several jobs, he was again unemployed in 1996.  Angelo wondered about his future and questioned whether or not he should get back into the business he had trained in and obviously knew best.  He was getting tired of being laid off and was seriously considering the self employment option.

He said, "I know the first year would be very hard and it kept me wondering if I could be successful running my own business.  At that time, I caught a lucky break.  I was informed that Trenval Business Development Corporation was running an Entrepreneurial Training Program for Human Resources Development Canada (HRDC).  This program provided me with employment insurance benefits for the first year of set up.  The training and the business counselling that I received that year provided me with a good understanding and a great start for my new business that I set up in Belleville under the name 'Angelo's TV Repair'.  Now five years in business, I am doing very well not only in the repairs of TVs, VCRs, microwaves and stereos, but I have expanded the transfer of tapes VHS of different system, such as PAL, SECAM, NTSC and BETA, also copy old records 45 LPs to CDs."

Thanks to Trenval and the HRDC Self Employment Benefit Program, I am now a successful businessman who has taken control of my life and my employment future.

Congratulations, Angelo!
