Muskoka Futures is the proud recipient of the prestigious Muskoka Award, in the category for Community Organizations.  Awards were presented at the J. W. Marriott Resort and Spa in Minett on September 18.

In its inaugural year, the Muskoka Awards, an initiative of Cottage County Communications, recognizes the actions and leadership of individuals and groups whose contributions have enriched the district.  Awards were presented in the categories of the Arts, Natural Environment, Community Advocate, Humanitarian, Youth, and Sports and Recreation, as well as the Community Organizations.

The 46 nominees are all an inspiration to the community - people and organizations who have made Muskoka the richly diverse place that makes it a wonderful place in which to live, work and play.

Muskoka Futures was commended for the lasting difference it has made to the community in enhancing socio-economic change for its citizens.  We are very honoured by this sign of appreciation from our community for our efforts on its behalf, and we are very grateful to the many people who support our efforts to excel.  We hope you share our pleasure!
