Unable to work due to an injury, Mostafa Heikal brainstormed about ideas for a small business. Armed with an education in sales and marketing, Mostafa landed on the idea of opening a daycare.
After going through the application process, CFDC Middlesex approved a loan for Angels Daycares’ Arva location, which opened near the end of 2019.
In March of 2020, COVID-19 forced Angels Daycares to close its doors.
Through CFDC Middlesex’s Regional Relief and Recovery Fund (RRRF), thanks to FedDev Ontario, Mostafa could cover overhead costs and continue to hire staff for its reopening.
The daycare was now in a position to recover with further plans for expansion.
