News Release:  PRINCE EDWARD/LENNOX & ADDINGTON COMMUNITY FUTURES DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION NAPANEE BUSINESS CENTRE OPENS

NAPANEE, Ontario, January 14, 2005 – Mr. Doug Sexsmith, Chair, Prince Edward/Lennox & Addington Community Futures Development Corporation (PELA CFDC), was joined today by Partners of the Napanee Business Centre to officially open the new facility.  Also on-hand to cut the ceremonial ribbon was L&A County Warden Clayton McEwen and PEC Mayor Leo Finnigan.

Spearheaded by PELA CFDC over a year ago, the Napanee Business Centre’s purpose is to bring together organizations to better co-ordinate community development.  Napanee Business Centre partners include:

Napanee & District Chamber of Commerce

Napanee Business Improvement Association

Napanee District Community Foundation

PELA CFDC

"We see tremendous opportunity for better co-operation and efficiencies by sharing the Centre with our partners", said Chair Sexsmith.  Building stronger communities with community stakeholders is part of our objective at PELA CFDC.  We look forward to expanding on this very successful concept in the near future.

The new Centre is in the heart of downtown Napanee at 47 Dundas Street East, Napanee, Ontario, K7R 1H7.
