The Agricultural Management Institute (AMI) is currently working on an initiative that would be a good fit with CFDCs across Ontario.  They are offering funding to take on a few strategic initiatives focused on Agricultural Value Chains.

This fall, they will be launching funds for regional economic development corporations and/or CFDCs to host an agricultural value chain "speed dating" style workshop.  The goal will be to bring together participants along the value chain in different regions of Ontario to meet, learn and network about their role in the value chain and how to create new value added business opportunities.

Funds will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis, and regional economic development corporations and/or CFDCs will be required to submit an application outlining the workshop details and how it will be promoted.  Successful applications will receive up to $7,500 to host the event.  All activities need to be completed by December 31, 2012.
