POSITION: Summer Student – Website Coordinator
LOCATION: St. Thomas, ON
REQUIREMENTS: This position is funded by the Canada Summer Jobs Program through
Service Canada. Qualifying applicants must:
- be a Canadian citizen between 20 and 30 years of age
- have been registered F/T as a post-secondary student in 2017 and intend to return to F/T post-secondary education in September 2018
JOB DESCRIPTION: To organize and input content on the website in collaboration with our website developer to ensure all information is accurately and completely uploaded. Assistance with the coordination of a large conference is also required.
DETAILS:
- Duration: May 28, 2018 to July 13, 2018 (possible extension to August 31, 2018 dependent on funding approval)
- $15 per hour, 30 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
- This position would be of interest to a post-secondary student in Web Development, Internet Applications, Interactive Media Design, Communications, and Event Planning.
ASSETS:
- Website administration (Joomla and website creation preferred)
- Experience with event planning
- Superior computer skills
- Detail-oriented work ethic
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Professional communications and telephone skills
- Solid English grammar, writing and punctuation skills
- Experience in an office environment, working as a team player
- Ability to take direction in a friendly and helpful manner
- Bilingual in English and French (not mandatory)
