North Claybelt is a community-based agency which is committed to fostering sustainable economic growth, diversification and business development through private partnerships for the benefit of our catchment area from Iroquois Falls to Opasatika.
Through federal support, the organisation administers a local investment fund to assist new or existing small businesses with start-up, expansion or stabilization plans that help maintain or create jobs.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to a volunteer Board of Directors, the Executive Director is the operational leader of North Claybelt CFDC and is responsible for achieving the vision and strategy of the organisation.
The Executive Director acts as a resource person to the Board of Directors and any other committees established by the Board of Directors, as well as leading staff to ensure the effective implementation and operation of the programs of the Corporation.
This includes the responsibility of managing the business affairs, building productive community relationships and maintaining collaborative relationships with various levels of government and other stakeholders. The Executive Director is responsible for managing 1 full time and 1 part time staff at its office location in Kapuskasing.
EXPERIENCE
The Executive Director must possess the following:
- Preference of at least 3 to 5 years prior experience as an Executive Director or equivalent senior management position.
It is an asset if the Executive Director possesses the following:
- Financial, lending business or accounting sector experience &/or knowledge
- Not-for-profit experience &/or knowledge
- Knowledge about operations of a CFDC
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be bilingual (writing & speaking) in French and English
- Ideally a post-secondary degree, diploma or designation related to business, business development, financial planning, lending and management.

COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $110,000 and will be based on experience and qualifications. A comprehensive benefits package is also available.
