ECM Education Series - Client Management Part 1

If you work with small business owners and entrepreneurs, you know that trust is everything. Without it, clients may hold back essential information, avoid asking for your help when they need it most, and may even drop out of support programs just when they’re gaining traction.

In this one-day introduction to working with entrepreneurs and small business owners, we explore some of the factors that build – and prevent – trust in client relationships. We’ll examine:

• What to do and not do with clients – our roles, boundaries, and the pillars of professionalism.
• Expectations and challenges in our work (including our community, our organization, and our own thinking).
• Building trust, creating rapport and learning to listen actively.
• An introduction to the Entrepreneurial Decision Making Cycle ©, a proven process that helps your clients focus on their business idea.

If you’re new to the field, or if you simply need a refresher, this course is perfect for you.

"The session is great for anyone who is just starting out in business or have been involved and would like to refresh on some of their ideas. Excellent information and the interaction allows everyone to see, hear and chat about how others work in their own environment. Highly recommended."
